The Jurassic Coast Trust, established in 2002 is an independent registered charity governed by a board of trustees, which supports the delivery of science, conservation, arts, education and sustainable development programmes.
We provide advice and influence and work with the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Team to establish the Site‘s needs. We also work with partners including the Natural History Museum, National Trust, Natural England and the South West Regional Development Agency.
"We inspire people to appreciate and enjoy the Jurassic Coast and to safeguard it for future generations in the best possible condition by supporting exciting and innovative projects and developing a broad-based funding platform. We hope that you will join us in order to achieve this."
James Weld, Chairman

The Jurassic Coast Trust is one of the partners for this year's Festival. Come and see us on the stand in Marquee 4, and find out about our work and projects. One of the projects we are supporting this year, with our Corporate Sponsor, the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain is a schools' education project 'The Land that Time Forgot'.
With the corporate support of its sponsors such as the Petroleum Exploration Society, the Jurassic Coast Trust has also been able to fund a new digital video microscope to give the general public and schools the opportunity to discover and examine their finds. The image will be transmitted to a television screen located directly above the microscope. This will be in use at the Festival in the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre. The Trust is very grateful to all its supporters.

Three schools working in groups with artist, Darrell Wakelam, have created 3D artwork based on the fossils and geology of the 'Jurassic Coast' using the famous sketch 'Duria Antiquior' by Henry De La Beche as their inspiration. This artwork would then be used in the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival 2009 as part of a theatrical performance 'Herbie Treehead's Jurassic Underwater Show'.
